French toon house Xilam is looking to strengthen its international sales effort through a new pact with Cake Distribution. Xilam’s former EVP Ed Galton now heads up Cake Distribution, and the deal will see his London-based team handling Xilam sales to all English-speaking markets including the UK, US, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. And to cover sales outside those territories, Xilam has appointed Laurence Marty as its new international sales manager.
Marty will be based in Paris, and has previously worked at TF1 International, France Television and M6.
Current sales priorities for Xilam include the comic toon A Kind of Magic (26 x 30 minutes) and Shuriken the Movie, a 75 minute one-off based on the action-comedy series Shuriken School.
