The role doesn’t call for him to wear women’s clothing à la Monty Python’s song, but John Goodman will be lending his dulcet tones to Exodus Films’ CGI animated feature Bunyan & Babe. The actor best known for his stint as Roseanne’s husband on the TV series of the same name is taking on the lead voice role of super-sized lumberjack Paul Bunyan.

Set in modern times, family-targeted Bunyan & Babe tells the story of Bunyan’s attempts to rescue his big blue ox from the clutches of a demented circus owner. Exodus is planning a theatrical launch for the feature in 2008.
