People moves: Universal beefs up international entertainment division

Universal Pictures International Entertainment is beefing up its executive management team with a slew of new appointments. Foremost, Melanie Nicholas was promoted to SVP of marketing. In addition to her current responsibilities for international licensees and oversight of Russian business, she will lead international marketing initiatives for home entertainment outside of the US.

Universal Pictures International Entertainment is beefing up its executive management team with a slew of new appointments. Foremost, Melanie Nicholas was promoted to SVP of marketing. In addition to her current responsibilities for international licensees and oversight of Russian business, she will lead international marketing initiatives for home entertainment outside of the US.

At the same time, John Revill steps into the VP of sales role, and will report directly to president Eddie Cunningham. Revill will be dealing directly with key customers.

Finally, Clare Edwards has been promoted to VP of international licensees. She’s now responsible for all international home entertainment licensing activity. Clare joined Universal in 2003 and prior to that served 10 years at the BBC, working in both sales and licensing roles.
