As the Catalonian city of Girona gears up to host Cartoon Forum this year, the org behind the event has announced the finalists of its second annual Tributes, awards that single out broadcast, distribution and production companies that have contributed to the development of the European animation industry.

Up for Broadcaster of the Year are Cartoon Network Europe, Ki.Ka (Germany), Rai (Italy), Televisio de Catalunya (Spain) and TF1 (France). The shortlist for Producer of the Year, meanwhile, features Cromosoma (Spain), Marathon (France), Millimages (France), Neptuno (Spain) and TV Cartoons (UK). And finally, the Investor/Distributor of the Year could go to BKN International, Luk International (Spain), Mediatoon (France), Telescreen (the Netherlands) or TV-Loonland (Germany).

The shortlists were put together by the European Association of Animation Film, and a vote by more than 750 of this year’s registered attendees will determine the winners, to be announced at Cartoon Forum.
