• Disney Channel will premiere its live-action series Wizards of Waverly Place and the sequel to its original TV movie Twitches on Friday, October 12.

• For the fourth year in a row, Legoland California has been named Best Children's Park by Amusement Today, a monthly trade newspaper serving the theme park industry. The Carlsbad-based park was chosen based on an international poll of experts in the sector.

• Toronto, Canada-based 9 Story Entertainment has completed production on its 26 x three-minute animated comedy series Futz!. The shorts are scheduled to debut on Canada's Teletoon this month.
