Marvel, Transformers drive record Q3 at Hasbro

Heading into an uncertain holiday sales season, the world's second-largest toyco Hasbro looks to be in good shape as it reported an 18% spike in Q3 revenues over 2006 numbers, bringing in US$1.2 billion for the period. Not surprisingly the heat generated by Hasbro's Marvel and Transformers lines at retail coming out of summer blockbuster season is largely responsible for the gain.
