Contrary to rumblings floating around international industry circles in recent months, Jetix France won’t be shutting down anytime soon.
The French net’s parentco Jetix Europe has resumed talks with current carrier Canalsat, which will continue to broadcast the channel from December 15 to March 31, 2008, while a new deal is being hammered out.
Jetix CEO Paul Taylor is hopeful that a new, longer-term pact can be reached to keep delivering Jetix France to Canalsat’s subscribers in the next few weeks. We’ll be following up as more info becomes available.
Currently, Jetix Europe operates 14 channels targeting kids ages six to 14 in 58 countries and 19 languages that reach more than 49 million homes.
