It looks like Disney Channel Worldwide’s global original programming hub in London isn’t wasting much time. Along with the previous blue-zoo pickup, the net has commissioned The Shaila Show from London-based Coolabi Productions.
The new series mixes live-action comedy and drama with animation, and documents the fantasy life of a British girl in which she becomes the all-powerful host of her own talk show. While the animation kicks in during the fantasy sequences, viewers will also see Shaila’s everyday live-action life where she is overlooked and ignored by those around her.
