One-liners: Noteworthy news nuggets

• Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing has partnered with Starz Media to produce a new series of DVDs based on the classic property Raggedy Ann & Andy. The Raggedy Adventures series, featuring updated looks for the popular rag dolls, should start rolling out this fall. Licensing agent United Media is also currently building a merch program in support of the new entertainment and design and will release product in conjunction with the videos.

• Cartoon Network Latin America has just licensed Star Farm production's Edgar & Ellen, in a deal brokered by Pi Distribution. Additionally, Euro rep Cake Distribution pulled together an English and Gaelic language agreement with TG4 in Ireland for the series. Cake and Pi, yum.

• Toronto, Canada-based Cookie Jar Entertainment has inked a multi-ep home video distribution deal with NCircle Entertainment for Magi-Nation and Will & Dewitt, currently airing on Kids' WB!, and preschool series Hooray for Huckle! Release dates for the series on DVD have yet to be determined.
