Growing pan-regional children’s channel KidsCo has brought in Eileen McCarthy as its new programming director. A 25-year TV industry veteran with stints at Hallmark Channel (Asia), Walt Disney Television (Singapore) and Seven Network under her belt, McCarthy will debut in her new role at MIPTV.

This latest KidsCo appointment comes on the heels of a slew of recent programming hires, including head of broadcast Sara Wookey (a Hallmark, MTV, Nick and ITV alum), head of on-air Esther Pinero (a former Nickelodeon Spain exec) and marketing director Louise Butts (who hails from ER and Cartoon Network).

KidsCo, a joint-venture between NBC Universal, Corus Entertainment and DIC Entertainment, is currently up and running in territories across Central Eastern Europe and the Middle East, with plans to start operating elsewhere in Europe and in Latin America later this year.
