• New York City-based Pressman Toy Corporation, the third-largest US games manufacturer, has inked deals to produce board games for two hot properties in the US, Big Tent's Domo and Mr. Men from Chorion. The Domo game will be available at specialty retailers in September, while the Mr. Men games will hit retail in spring 2009.

NPD's upcoming Entertainment Trends In America report showed that 37% of Americans believe they will spend less on entertainment products and devices in 2008 versus 2007, compared to just 18% who anticipate spending more. Teens is the only age group where spending tipped into the positive, with 30% of teens polled believing they would spend more than last year, versus 25% who thought they would spend less.

Nickelodeon UK's new multi-platform comedy series iCarly has debuted as the number-one rating program on any children's channel in cable and satellite homes in the region. The live actioner achieved a 13.4% share of viewers in its first two weeks on-air; attracting 2.2 million sets of eyeballs.
