Canal+ casts wide net for toon projects

It's open season for pitches at Canal+, which put out a formal request for animation proposals in June at Annecy. The broadcaster is looking to stock up for 2009/2010, and the plan is to commission 10 pilots from the concepts that come through the door, eventually co-producing the best ones as series. And if you're thinking this is a French content drive, think again. The initiative is open to submissions from producers/creators headquartered in any country.
