MTV Networks International launches HD platform

MTV Networks International has launched its first international high-definition service, MTVHD.

MTV Networks International has launched its first international high-definition service, MTVHD.

The channel premieres on Monday, September 15 and will be available in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden, and plans on broadcasting more than 300 hours of content, including series from Nickelodeon.

MTVNI intends to extend the MTVNHD service to France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the UK, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela by the end of 2008.
