The marketing part of her function will remain focused on American Kennel Club and Cat Fanciers’ Association.

Abbey Home Media (London, England, 44-207-563-9310): The kidvid specialist welcomes former Aardman Animations COO Stephen Moore as its new partner and shareholder. Having spent some time at Twentieth Century Fox International as president of creative advertising, Moore’s brand marketing acumen should come in handy as Abbey expands the presence of its Sesame and Spot franchises.

BRB Internacional (Madrid, Spain, 34-91-771-1400): The 35-year-old animation house welcomes Silvia Orellana as director of its audiovisual distribution division. She will oversee sales and spearhead marketing and advertising activities, a dual role she’s well-suited for. Although most of her work experience has been at ad agencies, Orellana’s most recent job was at Tridente Animation as a production manager.

Cake Distribution (London, England, 44-207-494-9104): Aiming to pack its distribution catalogue with an additional 150 half hours next year, including four new properties, Cake is staffing up to handle the extra load. Former Millimages UK senior sales exec Karla Berron joins the busy distribution unit as senior sales manager and will handle a portfolio of territories that includes Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Greece. Berron spent six years at Millimages and most recently sold into Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

CCI Entertainment (Toronto, Canada, 416-964-8750): Former child actor Rekha Shah, who is an alumni cast member of Nick’s You Can’t Do That on Television, has joined CCI Releasing, the company’s distribution division, as director of sales. She will cover Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada, as well as playing a part in acquisitions and the day-to-day management of CCI Releasing. Shah most recently worked as director of television distribution at Alliance Films.

Chapman Entertainment (London, England, 44-870-403-0556): The studio behind Roary the Racing Car and Fifi and the Flowertots is adding weight to its marketing and consumer products ranks with two internal promotions and two outside hires. Adele Sinclair joins the licensing team as product development executive for the UK, hailing from Wesco, where she was a graphic and product designer. And Ross Allen is now responsible for approvals with his promotion from product development coordinator to product development executive for international.

Meanwhile in the marketing department, Bethan Jones moves up from marketing assistant to marketing executive, and Polly Palmer comes aboard as marketing assistant from Clear Channel.

Chorion (New York, New York, 212-973-4700): Gearing up for some major consumer products activity as Olivia gets out of the gate, the IP house has poached Robert Traub from Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products to oversee its L&M business in the US, Canada and Latin America as VP of licensing for the Americas. Traub did a stint at Marvel as director of marketing and sales before spending the last eight years at NVCP, most recently serving as director of global retail and marketing development.

Decode Enterprises (Toronto, Canada, 416-363-8034): He has ostensibly headed up the company’s sales team for the last six months since Dominique Bazay’s departure, and now Josh Scherba has officially been bumped up from director of sales to VP of distribution. The Decode catalogue Scherba is working with these days is quite robust, having grown along with the company’s acquisition of Halifax Film and Studio B Productions.

Imira Entertainment (Barcelona, Spain, 34-93-265-0757): The growing Spanish studio has lured Begoña Esteban away from rival company BRB Internacional to sell its catalogue into Spanish-speaking territories. As Imira’s newest sales manager, Esteban will handle Spain, Portgual and Latin America. At BRB, she sold to these regions plus Asia and the Middle East as sales manager, and she also served as marketing manager on all new series the prodco launched at market.

Parthenon Kids (London, England, 44-192-328-6886): The children’s arm of Parthenon Entertainment Group has set up kids industry veteran Marie Chappelow to lead the way to growth and expansion. Chappelow, who spent seven years at HIT Entertainment as VP of programming distribution prior to the move, will chiefly oversee TV distribution, co-production financing and acquisitions.

PBS Kids Sprout (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 877-677-7688): The 24-hour preschool diginet and VOD service has brought in a big gun to steer its marketing and digital media efforts. Tom Alexander has left Turner Broadcasting to join the three-year-old channel as SVP of marketing, and he’ll be masterminding strategies to build awareness, distribution, viewership and loyalty for the Sprout brand. The move marks the end of a 13-year career at Turner that most recently saw Alexander in a VP of marketing position for Cartoon Network.

Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group Research (New York, New York, 212-846-8000): Kids research queen Jane Gould has moved halfway across the world to take up a new position as VP of consumer insights. She’ll develop projects that help Nick’s many channel and digital platforms better understand the attitudes, lifestyles and behaviors of their target audiences, as well as planning and conducting targeted research on behalf of the company’s production, consumer products, recreation and public affairs units. Gould previously headed up research activities at Nick Australia as director of programming for content development and research.

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (New York, New York, 212-846-8000): As its global business alignment push continues to play out internally, NVCP has promoted Andrés Mochón from director of Argentina, Brazil and Chile to VP of Latin America. Based in Miami, Mochón will manage all consumer products activities in his region, including events, retail development and relationships with agents and licensees.

Working out of the division’s London office, former 4Kids VP of marketing and licensing Jennifer Lawlor has been recruited to fill a brand-new position as VP of agent territories for Europe, Near East and Africa.

RDF Kids & Family (London, England, 44-207-013-4000): Heading into Brand Licensing Europe this month, RDF has bulked up on licensing execs to feed new deals into existing consumer products programs. Leading the charge as head of international licensing is Angeles Blanco, who has been promoted from senior licensing manager. Blanco will be aided and abetted by former Target L&M exec Lisa Simpson, who joins as international licensing coordinator.

Working the UK territory, Jane Kennedy has been brought in as a senior licensing manager from BKN, where she served as VP of international licensing and merchandise. Helping her out is Emily Briggs, who left a licensing exec position at Granada Ventures to join the RDF team.

Another key addition is Demi Charalambous, who comes over from BBC Worldwide as creative services manager. Charalambous oversaw product development for In the Night Garden, Charlie & Lola and Teletubbies at BBCW as a creative development exec.
