EA opens Hasbro-centric Austin studio

Redwood City, California-based Electronic Arts has opened a new studio, Pogo Austin, in Austin, Texas, that will focus on creating family-friendly titles based on Hasbro properties.

Redwood City, California-based Electronic Arts has opened a new studio, Pogo Austin, in Austin, Texas, that will focus on creating family-friendly titles based on Hasbro properties.

The initial team of 12 features Austin natives with experience at companies such as LucasArts, Aspyr Media, Acclaim, Amaze Entertainment, Human Code, Origin Systems and Family Time Interactive.

The first title to be released from the studie is Pictureka! Museum Mayhem, based on the Hasbro game which debuted in 2007.

The game is set to launch online in November at Pogo.com for US$19.95 will be available at retail in early winter.
