Transformers to become mega attraction at Universal Studios Singapore/Hollywood

Universal Parks & Resorts, Hasbro and DreamWorks Pictures are developing a theme park attractions based on the Transformers property.

The rides are scheduled to make their debut in early 2011, first at Universal Studios Singapore and then at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The attractions will use 3-D-HD media, special effects and robotics to create an experience that mirrors the film and will be constructed in consultation with director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg.

Transformers grossed more than US$706 million, the highest non-sequel gross of any movie in 2007. The sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is scheduled to be released by Paramount Pictures in the US on June 26, 2009.
