I Promised to send more info on some of the projects I saw pitched earlier today at Cinekid’s Cross-Media Master Class. A few caught my eye and most of the creators are looking for co-pro partners, whether they be fellow producers or broadcasters.

Rick Lander from U-Soap Media, the studio that produced the BBC’s first interactive web drama series Wannabes, is shopping around another teen girl concept. Entitled Lifeswap, this one gets two kids from polar-opposite backgrounds to trade lives for a little while, taking on the other player’s family, friends, part-time jobs, school life, etc. It boasts a full host of interactive platform elements, including a website where the swappers’ loved ones can report on how their counterparts are coping.

I also liked the look of Submarine’s Picnic With Pie, a book-based preschool concept that already has Walking the Dog on-board as a partner. Illustrated by a well-known Dutch artist, the book tells the story of 26 animals going on a picnic. When they get to the site, they discover that their pies are missing, and they must root out the crooks, dust off the recovered treats and enjoy their dessert. Submarine producer Bruno Felix’s blueprint for the IP calls for an animated series, a DVD and a series of CD-ROMs.
