The Upper Deck Company has signed a deal with Universal Pictures Consumer Products to release collectible trading cards for the new animated film The Tale of Despereaux, in theaters December 19.
The cards will hit major retailers on November 18 and will feature the characters from the film based on the Newbery Medal-winning children’s bestseller.
The starter set includes concept sketches, moments from the movie, multi-card puzzles and 20 character cards with three stickers per card. In addition, the trading cards feature autograph cards from six members of the cast, including Matthew Broderick, Tony Hall, Frances Conroy, Daniel Riordan, McNally Sagal and Patricia Cullen.
