Continued success with its flagship preschool properties helped boost Chapman Entertainment’s Q3 revenues.

Roary the Racing Car experienced a whopping 131% growth in the apparel sector, reported by its partners Aykroyds TDP and William Lamb, outperforming the 53% gain forecast across all its licensing categories. Industry researcher The NPD Group has named it the fastest-growing preschool boys brand, and Roary’s website has witnessed a 59% spike in international visitors.

The NPD also reports that Chapman’s other preschool property, Fifi and the Flowertots, is the number-one girls preschool brand in the UK in preschool plush and puzzles and is up 207% in outdoor toys, quarter on quarter from 2007 to 2008, and 14% in apparel from last year to this year. Together, Roary and Fifi products comprise 22 of the top 100 best-selling preschool products in the region.

In other news, Target Entertainment Group keeps adding names to the UK and Euro licensee roster for Chapman’s girls preschool property Fifi and the Flowertots.

Gosh is on-board to produce soft balls, skittles, travel art, and plastic bucket and tool sets in the UK. Meanwhile, Publications International and McDougalls have renewed their deals for sound books and make-and-bake products, respectively.

Beyond the UK, chocolate surprise eggs by Sweet Spa will make their way to Poland, Romania, Hungary, the Baltics, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Nordics and Benelux.

And three separate deals with One 2 Play for snacks and rainwear, and a multi-category deal for inflatables, balls, patio sets, tents and pop-up tidies, will rollout in the former Yugoslavia.
