Distributor Mediatoon has inked a raft of new global broadcast deals for its preschool series The Magic Roundabout.
Italia 1 (Italy), TV2 (Norway), YLE (Finland), TRT (Turkey), EESTI (Estonia), Al Jazeera (Middle East) join the growing roster of broadcast homes. And video rights, also handled by Mediatoon, were picked up by Mediaway in Poland, Europa Records in Hungary, and CLMC in Portugal.
The series, a co-production with Films Action, Action Synthèse, Play Productions, Ellipsanime, with the participation of M6 and Disney, is in production on season two for another 52 eps totaling 104 x 11 minutes. The second season has already been sold to ABC Australia, and is slated for a mid-2010 delivery.
