Literary talent agency The Gotham Group has signed a first-look deal with Sony Pictures Animation, which will be looking to tap Gotham’s pipeline of book-based properties for tentpole, family-friendly films.
Gotham was behind last year’s The Spiderwick Chronicles and reps a variety of talent and services across the entertainment industry, from directors and writers to publishing houses and comic book companies, including works from Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, HarperCollins Children’s Books (US and UK) and Bloomsbury Children’s Books USA/Walker & Co.
