With the announcement of Matt Smith stepping into the coveted role of Doctor Who, BBC Worldwide has also confirmed that the property will be one of its licensing priorities through the new year, renewing and extends its relationship with master toy partner Character Options.
On board since the relaunch of the series in 2005, Character’s upcoming products will feature the latest Doctor Who in a full range of new product slated to hit UK retail shelves in summer 2010 that will coincide with the series’ fifth season. In prep for this, BBCW will develop new style guide for its licensees, as the licensor also looks to make the property a long-term priority.
