A new partnership between VIZ Media and Zazzle will see the web retailer opening VIZ Media’s J-Pop Style Shop at www.zazzle.com/vizmedia, which will offer manga and anime-inspired apparel, stationery and other items on-demand basis.
It’s VIZ’s first time going the on-demand route offered by Zazzle, which gives buyers the chance to peruse through non-licensed graphics, customize them and have them placed on t-shirts, note cards, stamps, bags and others, with most product produced within 24 hours of ordering.
This is the first phase of a larger projected product rollout that will tentatively include female-targeted (shojo) fashion designs in 2009.
