As 10th anniversary celebrations continue for SpongeBob SquarePants, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products has announced a partnership with Humanity to create five SpongeBob-inspired, environmentally themed t-shirts.
As part of Nick’s water conservation campaign for The Big Green Help, the yellow one will be featured in ‘SpongeBob and You Save the Big Blue,’ which will also kick off in time for his anniversary celebrations during the 2009 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
The deal with cause-driven apparel line Humanity marks the first retail presence for The Big Green Help, and will see new crystal-encrusted, 100% organic cotton tees available for men, women, boys and girls. Along with SpongeBob, the shirt feature schools of fish, jellyfish, turtles and other marine life and he’ll be standing next to a garbage can that reads ‘Save the Big Blue.’ The inside of the shirt tells the story of the Big Green Help campaign. The fancy t-shirts are slated to hit specialty retail with a US$98 price tag later this year.
