The 10th anniversary celebrations for the absorbent one just keep on coming and the latest deal from Nickelodeon will bring a documentary about all things SpongeBob SquarePants to the small screen.
Prodco O’Malley Creadon has been brought on to helm the yet-to-be-named one-hour original TV doc to recount SpongeBob SquarePants’ evolution to his place in pop culture. The special will telecast across MTV Networks’ TV platforms this July, coinciding with the anniversary of the first SpongeBob episode.
Patrick Creadon, known for his work on Wordplay and I.O.U.S.A, is on board to co-produce, direct and write the doc with co-producer Christine O’Malley.
