With the CGI Olivia having just debuted on Nick Jr. US, Chorion has brought Spin Master aboard as the worldwide master toy licensee for the imaginative porcine property.
The Toronto, Canada-based toyco will translate Ian Falconer’s creation to a multi-category range of preschool toys. Mass-market rollout in the US is set for 2010 and design and development will be housed in Spin Master’s L.A. office.
The series, which debuted on Nickelodeon US yesterday, will air weekdays on the kidcaster and it’s also set to launch on more than 20 broadcasters around the world. The picture books from Simon & Schuster, which debuted in 2000, have sold more than six million units worldwide and have been published in 40 countries and translated into 20 languages.
