SpongeBob, Dora and iCarly are making their way to the iPhone and iTouch this week through a new deal sees the Apple iTunes App Store carrying games based on the Nickelodeon properties.
In addition, Nick will also be launching extensions of its online gaming sites at Shockwave.com and AddictingGames.com for the iPhone, which will include streaming mobile video apps and games.
Nick first tackled the iPhone with a mini-app called The SpongeBob Tickler last month, developed with Mobui. The app jumped into the top 10 best-selling iTunes apps, marking more than 3,000 downloads per day.
The first of Nick’s new apps to hit iTunes is SpongeBob SquarePants Atlantis Treasures, published by THQ, which will be followed by apps built around the other properties this spring, summer and fall.
