It looks like the popular girls equine property Bella Sara will be making its way to the big and small screen, thanks to a new deal between PorchLight Entertainment and Hidden City Games.

The partnership will see the two companies creating an animated TV series as well as long-form film content based on the magical world of horses. PorchLight, with the worldwide rights to the animated productions, will also be seeking feature and direct-to-DVD opps.

Playing on the themes of fantasy, inspiration and mystery, the 26 x 22-minute series will target girls six to 11. The story zeroes in on 12-year-old Emma and her horse Wings as they explore the North of North empire and find adventure and mischief along the way, as they come across other magical horses, wolf-riders, goddesses and gods.
