It looks like fans of CGI Star Wars: The Clone Wars have been channeling the force, as the higher-ups at Cartoon Network have renewed the Lucasfilm series for a second season.

With the season-one finale airing on CN on March 20, young Jedis will have to wait until the fall for the premiere of the new season that will focus on telling the story of the Skywalker family.

Nielsen Media Research found that the Clone Wars 2008 premiere was the most-watched series debut in Cartoon Network history. It’s also taken the top-spot in the time period across all broadcast and ad-supported cable nets with boys ages two to 11 and six to 11, as well as with tween boys nine to 14 since it’s launch through this past January.
