It looks like Elmo and the gang are about to find a new home in the UAE, as Sesame Workshop and Universal Studios Dubailand have inked an agreement that will see three Sesame-themed entertainment venues landing at the Middle East theme park.

The three attractions will be housed in the park’s Surf City area, anchored by Sesame Street 4-D Movie Magic, a behind-the-scenes look at movie-making featuring Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert, Ernie, Oscar, Grover and Prairie Dawn. The 400-seat theatre will provide a multi-sensory experience as park-goers get to feel and smell the action.

Also included in the trio of attractions are a Sesame Street carousel and themed live stage show and Elmo’s Emporium will open up shop to offer licensed merch.

Universal Studios Dubailand is currently under construction and is slated to open in 2010.
