To expand its global business opps, Marvel Entertainment has assembled a number of business leaders from key growth markets to form an international advisory board, working with the company’s execs to expand its presence as well as its brands around the world.
At the helm of the new board is Marvel director James F. Halpin as chairman, former president and CEO of CompUSA, while worldwide consumer products president Simon Philips is serving as the primary company liaison to the board.
Also on the board is Peter Yip, executive vice chairman and CEO of the CDC Corporation repping China, and Manmohan Shetty, former chairman of Adlabs Films and president of the Film and Television Guild of India. Marvel is in the process of filling two other board positions.
The board plans to convene in person twice a year for full meetings in addition to regular in-market meetings.
