With Sony Pictures Animation’s Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs hitting the big screen on September 18, Ubisoft has come aboard to give the 3-D CG film a video game boost.
The game publisher will be hitting handheld and home gaming consoles around the time of the movie’s release. The partnership between Sony and Ubisoft marks the third collaboration, as the two have previously worked on games for Open Season and Surf’s Up.
Cloudy is based on the children’s book of the same name by Judi Barrett, illustrated by Ron Barrett, centering on a town where food falls from the sky like rain.
