In the lead-up to Earth Day taking place later this month, the Simon Kidgits Club is teaming up with Handy Manny to promote eco-friendly activities at Simon Malls across the US.

With a new environmentally themed Handy Manny episode previewing at the event, Get Handy with the Earth lets kids and parents learn about environmental appreciation, conservation and recycling through hands-on gardening activities, games and green tips. Kids can plant flower seeds in egg cartons at Manny’s Mini Garden or play a eco-inspired basketball game in Manny’s Pitch In Recycling Game, as well as coloring and decorating Handy Manny cardboard toolboxes.

Playhouse Disney, also providing prizes and giveaways, will ring in Earth Day with a themed marathon and two new eps of Handy Manny on Saturday April 18, with an encore on Earth Day, Wednesday April 22. It’ll also launch Manny Gets Handy with the Earth mini-site on PlayhouseDisney.com, including a virtual version of Manny’s Mini Garden.
