KidsCo signs co-pro deal with Malaysian animation studio

Two-year-old international children’s channel KidsCo, co-owned by NBC Universal, Cookie Jar and Corus Entertainment, is getting into original commissions with 13 x two-minute eco-minded animated series Boo and Me.

The series is a co-production between KidsCo and Kuala Lumpur-based Inspidea. The a pay-TV exclusive series is slated to bow on KidsCo throughout Europe, Russia, Middle East, Africa and Asia in September.

Aimed at kids aged six to 10, Boo and Me follows the adventures of Boo the Orangutan who lives in a sanctuary in Malaysia after being rescued from poachers. Boo’s favorite visitors are Aiman and Yasmin, two children who help him learn lessons in environmental conservation.
