With a slate of blockbuster films to make their big-screen debuts through 2010, Twentieth Century Fox and McDonald’s have teamed up for Happy Meal and family-friendly restaurant promos across the globe.

Beginning with a Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian promo, as the movie hits theatres on May 22, McDonald’s US Happy Meal toy collection will feature eight characters and include a special code to unlock further content in the virtual McWorld. (www.happymeal.com).

The Night at the Museum promo has already begun in Europe, is starting today in Latin America and May 28 in Australia, the Middle East and Africa. All will feature the same Happy Meal collections, with some additions – restaurants in the UK and Oz, for example, will offer the extra of Napoleon Bonaparte sitting on his horse. To support the promo, the QSR’s in-store merchandising includes window posters, drive-thru translites and displays, and movie-themed Happy Meal boxes, along with commercials that incorporate clips from the film

Next to roll out in June and July will be an Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs-themed Happy Meal.
