Ex-Cartoon Network exec Heather Kenyon is joining Starz Media’s Toronto-based toon studio Starz Animation to take up the newly created post of VP of project development and sales.
Kenyon will work from Starz-owned Film Roman’s HQ in Burbank, California, working to expand Starz Animation’s portfolio of high-end work-for-hire and proprietary animated products, and will also be looking for Film Roman-appropriate projects for TV, features and direct-to-DVD.
Kenyon joins Starz with years of animation experience under her belt, including heading up series development at Cartoon Network, managing production information at Hanna-Barbera Cartoons and serving as editor-in-chief of Animation World Network.
