Through HIT Entertainment and Australian licensing agent Haven Licensing, Thomas & Friends has teamed up with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) to help increase awareness about autism.
The National Autistic Society and HIT surveyed UK parents of children with the condition and found that many young ones with autism were fond of Thomas, so a new online Australian-based market research survey is currently being devised with findings to be released in the coming months.
May is also Autism Month, and to further promote awareness, HIT has developed Thomas & Friends stickers to generate donations for Aspect’s community work. Thomas fans can also check out Aspect’s website at www.autismspectrum.org.au to play an interactive Emotions Game to help kids identify emotions.
