Marvel Entertainment is stepping up its licensing efforts in the footwear arena, partnering with Brown Shoe Company to bring characters from its slate of upcoming films to shoe collections for kids, men and women.
Under the agreement, Brown will design, produce and market Marvel lines of athletics, casual shoes, sport sandals, beach and EVA sandals, seasonal boots and slippers. The first collections to hit retail in spring 2010 include toddler, youth and young adult sizes based on Iron Man 2, with future ranges to sport Thor, The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers.
