Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs gets its big screen premiere on the July 4 weekend and Twentieth Century Fox L&M has more than 200 licensees lined up to support the third installment of the franchise with dedicated merch.
With HarperCollins (story and puzzle books) and Hallmark (cards and party goods) on board in the US, Fox has secured a number of other licensees across the globe.
There’ll be more than 15 promos in Latin America, including partners such as Kraft, Bimbo, Sabritas/Frito Lay and Casino, as well as a DTR deal with La Falabella in Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia (apparel, underwear, sleepwear, blankets, thermos, duvet, melamine set, beach towels and plush dolls).
More than 70 licensees are on board in Europe across all key categories, such as Ferroro (Kinder range products), Unilever (ice creams). Finnish/Swedish ferry line Tallink Silja will be adorn five of its cruise ships with an Ice Age 3 theme and creating Ice Age Play Land on board. DTR deals have also been secured with C&A across multiple territories, and with X5 in Russia, which will launch a range of branded household products in 1,500 stores across the Russian Federation, along with Ice Age themed retail promos in 196 of their largest stores.
