Carpinteria, California-based Animagic Entertainment has inked a deal with Toronto-based Fremantle Corporation, which will see the latter handling the worldwide distribution of its full-length feature film CGI project Balloonatiks, currently in pre-production.

The two are also in discussions for Fremantle to distribute the 26 x half-hour comedy-action-adventure Balloonatiks CGI TV series, in pre-production for a 2010 delivery. Targeting the six to 11 set, the series is based on the book The Balloonatiks 1st Goopy, Goofy, Loopy Adventure, and Animagic is on-hand at Licensing Show to develop an L&M program to support the property. It’s on the hunt for partners in video games, toys and games, accessories, publishing, gifts and novelties, stationery and paper goods, electronics, apparel and snack foods.

The property will also be supported by an MMO community called The Balloonatiks Virtual World.
