Multiplatform digital teen mystery The Amanda Project will be moving into UK and Commonwealth territories (excluding Canada), as HarperCollins Children’s Books UK inks a four-book deal for the property.

Rights owners 4th Story Media, will produce the content with a creative team, including web design agency Happy Cog, young adult authors, artists and graphic designers.

The story follows new girl Amanda Valentino at Endeavour High who arrives mid-year, leaves abruptly and changes everyone’s lives around her. A range of media will help tell her story, including a social networking website where readers can interact with and become characters in the mystery, blogs that chronicle the unfolding story, clues on satellite sites, downloadable music and official and user-generated merch.

The mystery will launch online this summer on a dedicated website, and the first book, The Amanda Project – INVISIBLE I hits shelves this October.
