A six-pack of new and returning Canuck productions will be making their way to Family Channel and Playhouse Disney Canada, as announced at the Banff World Television Festival, currently underway.

Among the new series for FC are 13 x half-hour comedy series Angel on Campus from Temple Street Productions and Baxter from Shaftesbury Films. The duo joins returning series Connor Undercover from Heroic Film Company/Shaftesbury Films (second season, 26 x half-hours) and Overruled! from Shaftesbury (third season, 13 x half-hours).

On the preschool side, Playhouse Disney Canada has also commissioned a pair of new 13-ep animated series, each comprising two 11-minute segments – Stella and Sam from Radical Sheep Productions and Justin Time from Guru Studio. New seasons of The Secret World of Benjamin Bear from Amberwood Entertainment and Franny’s Feet from Decode Entertainment are also part of the mix.

Late this summer and fall will see the start of production on all the series in Toronto, with broadcast debuts slated for 2010 and 2011.
