With Annecy currently underway, Cyber Group Studios and Timoon Animation have announced that they’ll be co-producing a duo of animated TV series.
Fish’ N Chips, an action-comedy targeting kids six to 10, follows the New York adventures of a deep-sea diving cat and a fish who’s convinced he’s turning into a mammal.
The second series, Bambalaye!, another comedy series that targets the same age group, features a band of wacky musician animals in Africa who sing all-time standards from the American songbook, made possible through an agreement with EMI Publishing Worldwide. The story and characters are also being considered for transition to film, PC/internet and mobile phones.
The two prodcos will oversee the art and editorial direction, along with coordinating with broadcasters. Cyber Group will manage the series’ international distribution and licensing, and will define those strategies with Timoon.
