It looks like Cathy Payne will be retaining her exec title as she moves from CEO of Southern Star to CEO of Endemol’s integrated program distribution business in the wake of SS’s acquisition this past January.

Payne will run both Endemol’s and Southern Star’s distribution biz, now with a combined library of around 2,000 formats and 20,000 hours of content. She’ll be making a new home in London to take up the post and will report to Endemol Group’s chief commercial officer Tom Toumazis.

Payne assumed the post of chief executive at Southern Star in 2000, where she was responsible for overall management of the international division.

In other Endemol news, Caroline Torrance will step down as executive director of scripted programming and distribution at Endemol International this September, a position she’s held since 2006.
