American Greetings Properties and Cookie Jar Entertainment are gearing up for Magic Marketplace at the end of August and they’re ready, willing and able to talk to prospective apparel licensees.
This fall, new Strawberry Shortcake t-shirts, daywear and active wear from master apparel licensee Children’s Apparel Network will be hitting retail. AGP is also developing a tween, teen and young-adult classic Strawberry Shortcake program for specialty and mid-tier channels, which includes apparel from Fortune Fashions (t-shirts), ES Originals (classic backpacks/bags), 5th SUN (classic t-shirts) and Age Group (juniors and classic loungewear, sleepwear and daywear).
Also expect to see a Strawberry infant/toddler mass market program that will kick off with SaraMax for infant sleepwear. 2010 will mark the property’s 30th anniversary and open a flood gate of opportunities for apparel and accessory partners for both classic and new-look Strawberry Shortcake. Contact Lisa Streff at (818) 955-5591 for more info.
For Care Bears, AGP is looking to grow its apparel and soft goods biz and will look for new product categories and partners at Magic. It hopes to find some apparel and accessories licensees in three areas targeting different demos–Care Bears Kids (ages three to six), Care Bears Infant/Toddler and Care Bears Juniors.
Apparel and accessory partners are also welcome to approach AGP for Madballs (targeting boys five to 10) and Maryoku Yummy (tween girls seven to 13).
