People moves: Donna Friedman Meir joins Women in Children’s Media

Donna Friedman Meir is the newest member to join the Women in Children’s Media’s Advisory Board.

The former National Geographic Kids Entertainment president and founder is currently a freelance consultant, as well as owner and founder of Lemonade Creative Consulting, which focuses on cross-media kids and family entertainment experiences and franchises. She’s also held senior posts with the Kids’ WB!, Nickelodeon and Nickelodeon Latin America

The WiCM’s Advisory Board develops new partnerships, plans professional development and educational events. This month, the org is hosting The Next Generation of Ready to Learn, a children’s media public policy panel, including Joe Caliguro, project manager for the Ready to Learn Program, US Department of Education; Ira Sockowitz, Counsel to the US Department of Education; Aura Dunn, consultant, Government Affairs & Public Policy; and Alice Cahn, VP for social responsibility at Cartoon Network.
