Bob the Builder is turning 10 and HIT Entertainment is marking the anniversary with a major charity initiative.

UK Master Toy Licensee Martin Yaffe International and UK retailer John Lewis Partnership are launching a promotional campaign at the retailer’s Cheadle and Trafford stores to offer a ‘ten bob’ or 50 pence donation from each Bob the Builder/Yaffe product sold to the New Manchester Children’s Hospital Appeal.

The in-store promotion features POS materials, posters, Bob standees and leaflets, online ads and special appearances by Bob himself.

The promotions run from August 10 to September 7.

HIT Entertainment has promised to mark Bob’s 10th year with a US$40 million charity fundraising effort.
