Library of Congress taps Jon Scieszka for online serial project

Noted children's author of The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales and the Time Warp Trio, Jon Scieszka is the first writer tapped to craft a serial adventure story for publication on the US Library of Congress' new read.gov.website.

Noted children’s author of The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales and the Time Warp Trio, Jon Scieszka is the first writer tapped to craft a serial adventure story for publication on the US Library of Congress’ new read.gov.website.

Co-sponsored by the Library’s Center for the Book and the National Children’s Book and Literacy Alliance, The Exquisite Corpse Adventure is the title of the project which will also garner contributions from renowned kids lit creators M.T. Anderson, Natalie Babbitt, Calef Brown and Daniel Handler.

The initial installment of the series will premiere at the Library of Congress’ National Book Festival on Saturday, September 26, 2009 on the National Mall.
