A new live-action snowboarding series is headed for Disney’s new boy-targeted channel.
Season one of Shreducation (13 x half hours) has been acquired by XD for several territories, including the US, UK, Nordic, CEE, Latin America and Japan, with international rollout happening throughout 2009 and 2010.
The series for kids six to 14 that caters to boys puts the spotlight on Canadian snowboarder Jesse Fulton, who opened his own snowboarding school, recruiting a group of US and Canuck riders between the ages of 12 and 16. Fulton trains them for the pro ranks and the 2010 Winter Olympics. The group also travels throughout North America, Europe and down under, competing in events, completing photo shoots and film cameos.
The series is currently in production on season two, with production on season three beginning this October. It’s produced by Canada’s Riverbank Films and executive produced and distributed by re: think Entertainment.
