The Brit TV rat from the 80s is scurrying back into the spotlight, as Manhattan Beach, California-based licensing agency The Sharpe Company has picked up worldwide merch rights to Roland Rat Superstar.

The Brit TV comic puppet made its on-air debut in the territory in 1983 and spawned more than 100 licensed product. Sharpe will be looking for new audiences as well as the older fans to embrace a new program that’s kicking off with Roland Rat on-line gaming slot machines and scratch cards, with many other categories open for discussion.
